1 – From EXPANSION SOLUTIONS – $4B data center campus planned for Berkeley County
Penzance Management has announced plans to invest $4 billion to build a major data center campus in the Falling Waters District of Berkeley County.
The Bedington Campus will span 548 acres and, at full buildout, include approximately 1.9 million square feet of development with 600 megawatts of critical IT capacity supporting artificial intelligence, cloud computing and advanced digital infrastructure.
State leaders say the project represents a major step forward in expanding West Virginia’s presence in the global technology economy and positioning the Mountain State as a competitive destination for data infrastructure investment.
2 – From THE REAL WV – West Virginia photographer wins Sony Lifestyle Photo of the Year
West Virginia photojournalist Vanta Coda III of RealWV has won the Lifestyle category in the prestigious Sony World Photography Awards.
The winning photograph, titled Charlotte and Dolly, captures a young woman resting with her cow inside a barn at the State Fair of West Virginia in Lewisburg.
More than 430,000 images from over 200 countries were submitted to the competition, highlighting the global significance of the award and showcasing West Virginia’s culture and storytelling on an international stage.

3 – From WV DOT – New WVDOT project map now available online
The West Virginia Department of Transportation has launched a new interactive project map that allows residents to view roadwork and transportation improvements happening across the state.
The map displays projects that are underway, scheduled to begin soon or recently completed, helping travelers and communities stay informed about infrastructure progress statewide.
