1 – From MY BUCKHANNON – AI pitch competition offers small businesses up to $50,000 in services
The West Virginia Small Business Development Center invites entrepreneurs to participate in a new AI Pitch Competition scheduled for April 27 in Morgantown during Bridging Innovation Week.
Up to 10 small businesses will be selected to pitch their artificial intelligence-driven ideas to leaders from Amazon Web Services and other industry experts.
Top competitors may receive up to $50,000 in AWS professional services, including technical resources, architecture support and solution development to help bring their innovations to market.
2 – From WVDNR – WVDNR’s musky spawning program supports world-class fishing
Biologists with the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources operate a specialized muskellunge spawning program to maintain healthy populations of one of the state’s most prized sport fish.
Each spring, fisheries teams collect adult brood stock from rivers and lakes, spawn the fish at hatcheries and raise young muskies before stocking them in waters across the state.
The effort helps sustain West Virginia’s reputation as a premier destination for anglers while protecting the long-term health of the species.

3 – From CBS NEWS – New York Giants to hold part of 2026 training camp in West Virginia
The New York Giants will begin their 2026 training camp at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs.
The team will hold the first portion of camp at the resort due to renovations at their practice facility and scheduling conflicts at MetLife Stadium.
Many of the workouts are expected to be open to the public, giving football fans a chance to see the team prepare for the upcoming season.
