#2 – From WOWK-TV Wildlife manager honored for conservation work
A specialist with the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources has been named 2026 Wildlife Manager of the Year.
Heath Miles was recognized for his work improving wildlife habitats, supporting research and mentoring new hunters across the state.
His efforts include managing thousands of acres and restoring land to support species like wild turkey and other native wildlife throughout West Virginia.
#3 – From WV NEWS – Farmers markets prepare for spring season
Farmers markets across West Virginia are preparing to open for the spring and summer seasons, offering fresh, locally grown produce and community connection.
These markets support local agriculture while providing access to healthy food options, including fruits and vegetables grown by regional farmers.
Officials say programs across the state help connect residents — including seniors — with nutritious, locally sourced foods while strengthening local economies.
