#2 – From WV OFFICE OF ENERGY – New loan helps eligible West Virginia organizations invest in energy-saving building upgrades

The West Virginia Office of Energy is establishing an Energy Efficiency Revolving Loan Fund through a grant from the U.S. Department of Energy, creating a self-sustaining pool of capital that will help West Virginia businesses and nonprofits finance energy-saving building upgrades, reduce operating costs, and reinvest savings in future efficiency projects.

#3 – From MY BUCKHANNON – Whale watching and West Virginia: How WVU research can bring national insights back home

Research involving West Virginia University scientists and the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation is using data from national marine sanctuaries—such as whale watching and ocean recreation hotspots—to bring insights home, helping understand visitor behavior, ecosystem services, and economic impacts that can inform how West Virginians think about outdoor recreation and environmental value.
