Global defense technology company Helsing has selected Berkeley County for its first U.S. manufacturing operation, investing an initial $50 million and creating at least 60 high-skilled, full-time jobs with an average salary of $125,000. The facility will manufacture advanced defense systems, reinforcing West Virginia’s growing role in aerospace and defense manufacturing while strengthening the nation’s domestic industrial base. State leaders say the project demonstrates the state’s ability to compete for next-generation industries.

PowerFlo Solutions is investing $20 million to establish advanced manufacturing operations in Wood County, creating at least 120 new full-time jobs.

The company will manufacture critical electrical infrastructure that supports data centers, artificial intelligence, and other energy-intensive industries. Officials say the investment strengthens West Virginia’s position in advanced manufacturing while supporting America’s growing demand for reliable energy infrastructure and creating new opportunities for West Virginia workers.
