The West Virginia Small Business Development Center has named Bruce Harrison as the new business coach for its Potomac Highlands Center in Keyser. Harrison, a veteran, former business owner, and longtime retail industry professional, will serve entrepreneurs and small business owners across six counties in the region.
Business coaching provides critical support for startups and growing companies by connecting entrepreneurs with expertise, training, and resources needed to succeed. Harrison’s addition strengthens the organization’s ability to support economic growth and business development throughout the Potomac Highlands.
#2 – From WV LIVING – Rest, wellness and adventure await in Tucker County
Tucker County is combining outdoor recreation with opportunities for relaxation and wellness.
The WV Living story spotlights the growing appeal of destinations like Canaan Valley, where visitors can enjoy hiking, waterfalls, mountain views, and outdoor adventure while also finding opportunities to recharge through lodging, spa experiences, and peaceful mountain retreats. Tourism leaders say the area continues attracting travelers seeking both excitement and renewal.

#3 – From WV EXPLORER – Mountain battlefields reveal hidden Civil War history
West Virginia’s mountains hold some of the nation’s most overlooked Civil War sites.
Historic locations such as Camp Allegheny, Rich Mountain Battlefield, Cheat Summit Fort, and Camp Bartow played important roles in the 1861 Western Virginia Campaign that helped pave the way for West Virginia’s statehood. Today, visitors can explore these preserved sites and experience a quieter, less crowded connection to American history.
