The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources says hunters and anglers must buy new licenses and stamps for the 2026 season to remain compliant with state regulations. By purchasing licenses and stamps early in the year, sportsmen and women also maximize the value of their investment. License revenue is crucial, directly funding essential programs such as wildlife management, habitat restoration, public access, law enforcement and education.

The West Virginia Hunting & Fishing Show is set for 2026, featuring vendors, exhibits, and information for outdoor enthusiasts across the state. Hunters are also invited to participate in the West Virginia Whitetail Hall of Fame which runs in conjunction with the show. This provides individuals with the chance to have their West Virginia deer trophies officially scored and to display the largest harvested racks.
