#1 – From WVU Today

WVU engineers have built a rugged, high-capacity fuel cell capable of providing stable power in remote and demanding industrial environments. The system converts methane into electricity, storing energy for reliable grid support. It’s a game-changer for energy resilience across West Virginia’s rural and industrial sectors.

#2 – From EnergyWV

West Virginia local governments and non-profits can apply for grants through the state’s Energy Efficiency & Conservation Block Grant program. Funds are available for projects like HVAC upgrades, insulation, LED lighting, and electric vehicle charging installations. It’s a perfect opportunity to save on energy bills, reduce carbon footprints, and contribute to a sustainable Almost Heaven. Applications are due August 15.
