#2 – From WTOV9 – West Liberty University aviation students earn private pilot licenses

Students in the West Liberty University Aviation Program have earned their private pilot licenses for the first time in the program’s history. With hands-on flight instruction and simulator training at Wheeling Ohio County Airport, the program is preparing the next generation of aviation professionals for careers in the skies.

#3 – From WBOY-TV – WVDNR drone program expands statewide public safety and conservation efforts

The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources has expanded its drone program into a powerful statewide public safety and conservation tool. Equipped with thermal, infrared, and GPS technology, drones now assist with search and rescue operations, flood response, disaster assessments, and law enforcement investigations — providing critical “eyes in the sky” when time and terrain matter most.
