A Wheeling-area favorite is about to hit the national stage! The Cheese Melt will host a visit from America’s Best Restaurants on July 23. The show highlights standout dining destinations across the country, shining a light on local flavor and community spirit. The restaurant plans to highlight popular dishes like the award-winning Beale Street grilled cheese, a combination of hot pepper cheese, gorgonzola, bacon, Golden Delicious apples and kale.

#2 – From Metro News

The West Virginia Department of Agriculture has awarded over $311,000 to Mountain State Co-Hop to help local producers get their products on the market. This investment will help increase production, promote sustainability, and expand supply chain opportunities for West Virginia food producers. Their marketplace, Appalachian Cellar, offers 330-value added products from over 30 producers, including jams, syrups, honey, coffee, and rejuvenating personal care products.

#3 – From WOWK-TV

Off-road adventure just got even better in Logan County. The Hatfield-McCoy Trail System has officially opened a brand-new trail segment called Braveheart—adding to its already massive network of outdoor recreation routes. The addition will support tourism, small businesses, and thrill-seeking riders exploring southern West Virginia.
