#1 – From WV EXPLORER = Beartown remains one of WV’s most unique destinations

Beartown State Park continues to draw visitors eager to explore one of West Virginia’s most unusual natural landscapes.

Located in Pocahontas County, the park features a maze of massive sandstone formations, deep crevices, and winding boardwalks that create an almost otherworldly experience. Outdoor enthusiasts and photographers alike are discovering why Beartown is often considered one of the strangest and most fascinating places in the Mountain State.

#2 – From WVNS-TV – Rollin’ Rec brings recreation to communities

The Raleigh County Parks and Recreation Authority has launched Rollin’ Rec, a new mobile recreation unit designed to bring activities and programming directly to local communities.

The initiative provides games, sports equipment, educational activities, and outdoor recreation opportunities for children and families. Organizers say the program helps expand access to recreation while encouraging healthy lifestyles and community engagement throughout the region.

#3 – From HERALD-DISPATCH – Nucor project remains on schedule

Nucor officials say construction of the company’s major steel manufacturing facility in Mason County remains on track for completion this year.

The project represents one of the largest manufacturing investments in state history and is expected to support hundreds of jobs while strengthening West Virginia’s position in the growing steel and manufacturing sectors. Economic development leaders say the facility continues to demonstrate confidence in West Virginia’s workforce, location, and industrial capabilities.
