#1 – From PANHANDLE NEWS NETWORK – Project AllStar Set to Make Berkeley County a Premier Sports & Tourism Destination

Berkeley County leaders unveiled the vision for the 256-acre Project AllStar — a year-round sports, recreation and convention complex that could house basketball, volleyball, pickleball, soccer, baseball, and a 12,000-square-foot sports-medicine clinic. The Eastern Panhandle facility is projected to generate more than 100,000 hotel-room nights annually, support 300+ jobs, and produce an economic impact exceeding $60 million within its first decade of operation.

#2 – From LATITUDE MEDIA – Form’s first 100-hour batteries are hitting the grid

Form Energy, the startup making 100-hour iron-air batteries, has begun deploying its first commercial batteries. The batteries will be installed at Great River Energy’s multi-day storage project in Minnesota. Since the beginning of this year, Form has produced approximately 100,000 electrodes, representing about 100 kilometers of material that has flowed through its West Virginia factory. Form Factory 1, located in Weirton, is Form Energy’s first high-volume battery manufacturing facility.

#3 – From WV PRESS ASSOCIATION – Concord University Named Among 2025-26 Colleges of Distinction

Concord University has been selected as part of the 2025-26 Colleges of Distinction list — a recognition of their high-impact programs, student engagement, and commitment to education excellence.
