Governor Morrisey’s Mountaineer Mile encourages West Virginians to walk at least one mile each day using designated trails in state parks. Trails like Tomlinson Run’s Jody Hulka stretch are designed so you can walk out and back for a full mile. It’s a great way to get some fresh air and exercise while enjoying the beauty of Almost Heaven.

#2 – From WV News – Fairmont’s Momentum Adventure Park Plans Unveiled
Fairmont is planning a major outdoor recreation boost with the Momentum Adventure Park in the Beltline neighborhood. The project includes trails, skate and pump tracks, climbing walls, and more—bringing community space and active opportunities to the city.
#3 – From Mountain Messenger – Pocahontas CVB Seeks Local Models
The Pocahontas County Convention & Visitors Bureau is casting locals for a new tourism marketing campaign. Running October 8–10, the shoot will feature local businesses, outdoor spots, and attractions like Green Bank Observatory—with paid opportunities and no prior experience required.
