The New River Gorge Bridge remains one of West Virginia’s most recognized travel destinations.
Visitors from around the world continue to experience the bridge through scenic overlooks, hiking trails, rafting adventures, and Bridge Walk tours beneath the massive steel arch. #3 – From WCHS-TV – U.S. Coast Guard selects WV for command center
West Virginia has been selected as the future home of a new U.S. Coast Guard Special Missions Command center.
The command will be headquartered in Kearneysville and will oversee deployable specialized forces focused on maritime security, emergency response, and national defense operations. Officials say the decision highlights West Virginia’s growing role in supporting federal operations and national security initiatives.
