#2 – From WV GAZETTE-MAIL – WV food scene showcases global flavors
West Virginia’s food culture continues evolving as restaurants, festivals, and local chefs introduce international flavors across the state.
The Food Guy highlights the growing diversity of dining experiences in Almost Heaven, including global cuisine, regional barbecue events, and locally inspired culinary creativity. Supporters say food tourism continues helping attract visitors while strengthening small businesses and community identity statewide.
#3 – From WTAP – Funding initiative supports rural businesses
A new regional effort is helping provide financial support and resources for small businesses throughout Appalachia.
“Powering Appalachia – Funding for Rural Small Businesses” takes place Wednesday, June 3, at the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Council in Parkersburg. The event is free and open to community members, business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
