WV Space Innovation, Camden Park Legacy & Remote-Adventure Blends

June 29, 2025

Welcome to the daily304 – your window into Wonderful, Almost Heaven, West Virginia.

Today is Sunday, June 29, 2025.

#1 – From Innovators & Entrepreneurs (daily304)

In “Shooting for the Stars,” we sit down with David Martinelli (Director, WV Small Satellite Center) and Scott Zemerick (Chief Scientist, TMC Technologies) to explore how the state’s new satellite initiative merges innovation with economic growth. The program aims to solve real-world challenges—like agriculture, disaster response, and infrastructure—by building and launching small satellites from WV. Their mission: turn space tech into local jobs and long-term investment.

#2 – From WV History Feature (YouTube)

Take a nostalgic ride through history and discover how Camden Park carries on the legacy of West Virginia’s “trolley parks”—waterside amusement venues that began in the early 1900s to encourage weekend transit ridership. WV once hosted seven trolley parks and one waterside playground during that golden era, and Camden Park is the last one still in operation. It serves as a living time capsule of community fun, rides, and turn-of-the-century entertainment.
