#2 – From NEWS & SENTINEL – State officials tour WV’s first last-mile Amazon facility

State officials and local business leaders gathered recently to tour and learn about West Virginia’s first last-mile Amazon facility in Davisville. The event featured a guided tour of the establishment by site manager Curtis Jones as well as a ribbon cutting and the announcement of a $15,000 check awarded from Amazon to Discovery World on Market.

Jones said the facility houses about 400 full-time, part-time and Amazon Flex employees, and they’re actively hiring for multiple positions.

#3 – From WV NEWS – Harrison County’s growing aerospace hub brings new jobs and millions in investment

The Legislature’s focus on aerospace and aviation this session was a reminder that leaders from almost every region of the state want a piece of one of West Virginia’s fastest growing industries.

The state’s aerospace hub in Harrison County experienced millions of dollars of growth in 2025, and several projects seem to be ready to come to fruition in 2026. After a year of completing smaller facets of the new terminal building for the airport, the project is now in the final phase of completion as work is set to begin paving the parking lot in early April.
